Favourite couple, obviously goes to Mr and Mrs Kanye West
! I don’t think these two could ever do wrong- weather that be individually or
collectively. Kim’s red carpet look was a knockout piece, it defiantly stood
out and she definitely turned heads. In a sparkling Jean Paul Gaultier gown,
she rocked her newly short do, with a statement side part. And as per usual,
makeup is on point and so is that cleavage ;) As for Kanye’s look, it was a
more subtle statement - wearing an all-black Balmain velvet suit, with some
grey cowboy-like boots. But, in my own personal opinion, the two are just pushing
fashion limits, whilst really setting the standards in today’s culture. Can’t
wait to see their next look...
Favourite male, is awarded to Donald Glover, more
commonly known as Childish Gambino. I believe this look was executed very
nicely. Childish went with a very classic look, whilst also modernising it and
adding his own spin to the outfit. Wearing head to toe in Lanvin, the midnight
blue tuxedo is complimented with a white shirt and a textured black bow tie. But,
the element that really adds some ‘Ooopmh’ into the overall look, is the shortened
hem line and silk opera pumps. I love this simple, chic look – definitely my
favourite male look for the Grammys 2015.
And last but not least, favourite female look for the
night, was surprisingly.. Rihanna. Wow. I honestly, didn’t expect it to be my
favourite look, but no one could pull that dress off as good as Rihanna did. It
was very unique, and almost unpleasing to the eye, slightly unproportioned, but
the more you study the look, the more you realise it’s Rihanna’s statement. Again,
like Kim, Rihanna is another boundary pusher, and she did just that with this
coral, watermelon pink, Giambattista Valli gown. I also believe the look was
styled to a T, minimalized hair, makeup and jewellery – the dress really spoke
for itself. I love Rihanna in this, and that’s why she was my favourite for the
2015 Grammys.
