Hey guys 👋
So, if you haven't already noticed (particularly if you're reading this from a mobile device) my blog has undergone a bit of a makeover. I've been wanting to upgrade for a while now and I finally (but slowly) did it.
I would like to thank and acknowledge the work of 2 particular creatives that make up what you see on my blog today...
My theme (London Calling) is from an organisation called PipDig. They have some awesome themes, whilst also offering migration services and helpful blogging documents. I am so happy with my chosen theme, I love it and I hope you guys do too.
Along with a new theme, I have also added a few new 'features'. The addition of two new headings is for more convenient browsing purposes. 'Categories' is pretty self explanatory, it's basically just splitting all of my blog posts up into the different categories that I write about and what my blog is based around - Makeup, Skincare, Hair, Lifestyle & Fashion. The second header is 'Series', which filters down a bit more into the type of blog posts I publish... for example, hauls, reviews, swatches, favourites, etc. I know it's only a minor change, but I was really excited when creating these because it allows you to easily find areas in my blog you previously had to scroll miles for.

Secondly, the font of my header (and Instagram Highlights) is created by Lucy from Creativeqube Design. I recently found her amazing work on Creative Market (which is an awesome online design hub) and purchased one of her font bundles. Not only was I looking for a new font for my blog, I also have a secret/weird obsession for fonts and boy, was it like Christmas morning when I downloaded the bundle. I had so much fun sifting through the hundreds of fonts that this talented woman created. But finally, after feedback from my family and multiple mock ups, I chose the Pattersonville Script. It is exactly the look I was going for and together with the theme, I am over the moon happy with the finished product.
These new changes are just the beginning, I am really wanting to improve all aspects of my blog. I understand I am just a small time blogger, but I want my image to be professional and aesthetically pleasing. Hopefully, with a new direction I can achieve those things.. up next - photography. I am really wanting to up my photography skills, and potentially looking to further my skill set in a credited course. I have always had an interest in photography, ever since high school. I love taking photos, I just need to properly learn how to utilise my DSLR camera and editing skills.
So there it is.. a bit of a blog update + a sneaky life update. I hope you have enjoyed an insight into the BTS and more personal side of me. If you like these styles of posts or have any helpful feedback in regards to the new look, feel free to send me an email or DM me on Insta. I would love to hear your thoughts :)
FYI - If you're on your phone and wanting to see the blog in full effect, click on the 'view web version' at the bottom of y our page.
Until next time.. xo
