GIFT GUIDE // Mother's Day 2018

With Mother's Day only a week away, I thought I'd share some gift ideas...

1. Floral Burst Classic PJ Set from Peter Alexander ($99.99)
Winter's creeping up on us and this is the perfect opportunity to replace mum's daggy old flannelette's for a cute floral set. If she's not into florals, there are plenty more options out there - not just from PA, but from Kmart, Target, Bras n Things, etc. Even a new dressing gown or slippers would be a warm welcome to Winter.

2. Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham from Angus & Robertson ($26.99)
When I think of 'mum' actresses (actresses that mums like), Lauren Graham comes to mind. She's better known from Gilmore Girls and Parenthood (which ironically I loved watching with my own mum). From the few interviews I've seen of her, she seems like a fun and interesting lady that probably has some cool stories to tell in her own quirky way.

3. Lavazza Jolie Espresso Coffee Machine from JB HI-FI ($79.00)
Ahh, coffee 😍 !! Does this really need a description or selling point? No, not really.

4. Casablanca Limited Edition Gift Set by Glasshouse Fragrances from David Jones ($89.95)
If your mother is anything like mine and obsessed with candles, she will love this gift set. Not only do you get a glasshouse candle, you also get a limited edition travel case, a hand creme and hand wash all in the same scent. I think this is a dream gift set, and not to mention the cute packaging.

5. Shimmer Medium Pouch from Mimco ($89.95)
Can you really go wrong with a gift from Mimco? And hello - it's pink and glitters. For some, this pouch is more of a statement item or for special occasions, but when I saw it I immediately thought of my mum. I know pink is a very stereotypical female colour, but it does come in rose gold and pansy (the pansy is just as cute as the pink btw) for those who are not fans of the pink.

6. Sparkling Strand Bracelet from Pandora ($79.00)
Jewelry is a pretty popular gift idea when it comes to females, and recently Pandora has been crazy popular. Both my mum and sister wear Pandora and I thought this cute bracelet (that can be worn by itself without charms), is dainty and minimalistic whilst still being blingy.

7. Wrinkle Warrior Pink Plumping Mask by Kate Somerville from Mecca ($82.00)
Disclaimer: Only get an anti-ageing product for your mother if you know she will NOT get offended! You don't want to get a gift for your mum if she's going to be upset by it. So maybe opt for a different type of mask. But essentially, the idea behind this item, was some sort of skincare for your mum to use and feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

8. Wonderboom Portable Speaker by UE from Myer (on sale $99.00)
I'll admit, half the reason I chose to add these speakers was due to the gorgeous pink colour. Like, how can you resist? But, you know if your mum likes pumping her old school jams, this would definitely be a winner.

9. Essential No.1 Logo Hoodie by Puma from Rebel ($69.99)
You can probably tell by now that the dusty/peachy pinks are kind of on trend at the moment. I honestly think this hoodie is so cute and more interesting than your standard black or navy. Give mum a bit of colour this winter...

10. All Star Dainty OX by Converse from Hype DC ($79.95)
Ok, so if your mum doesn't already own a pair of converse, this is the year. These shoes are such a staple for any woman's wardrobe. An easy option to pair with any outfit - casual or dressy.

I hope this guide helps or inspires some of this years Mother's Day gifts. I wish all the mums out there a loving and enjoyable day with your loved ones. And to the mothers who are not with us, may you rest in peace. Sending lots love to everyone this Sunday x.
