REVIEW + VIDEO // StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner & Dryer

🎥

Well here's something new.. A YOUTUBE VIDEO!

Welcome! I'm not sure if I'm more excited for my blog post or my first ever YouTube video, nonetheless both are just as exciting as each other, right? Today's post is a review and demonstration of the infamous StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner & Dryer. I've seen a few videos and ads going around for this product, and like everyone else I always wondered 'does it actually work?' And so when I received one of as a gift from my family, I knew I wanted to do a Review/does it actually work blog post. So here we are today...

Review.

I made sure that before using the cleaner I had no other opinions clouding my judgment, the only video/review I had seen prior to receiving my own was one of Michael Finch's videos demonstrating a similar product. So, in preparation I made sure my makeup brushes were dirrrrrty, and by dirty I mean sitting there collecting dust in my temporary room (mid room renovations). Bit TMI, but very necessary in making sure my review is authentic in all aspects.

As seen in the demo video, the product is very easy to put together and use. I read the instructions briefly, but the process if pretty straight forward. There are black silicone 'heads' (as seen in the left image) that are used for different sized brushes, that is then attached to the main piece (as seen in the right image). Once attached, place the brush in the bowl, with water and cleanser, and turn on. This then proceeds to wash the brush and when lifted out of the water will dry the brush.

Let me tell you now.. IT WORKS! It actually washes and dries the brush in the quickest time possible. And by dry I mean, ready to use straight away. No more waiting 'x' amount of hours for your makeup brushes to dry, this little machine is an absolute time saver (especially for someone like me who would rather not wear makeup than clean her dirty brushes #lazy). Even if there was an emergency and you were heading for a night out and your brushes were filthy, it's literally just wash, dry and use. You could even go to the extent of washing a brush to use a different colour, it's that efficient.

I will say though, and I'm not quite sure if this is standard information or if I'm the only one who needs a bit more instruction/clarity, it doesn't mention anything in regards to replacing the water. Obviously, I emptied the water once it became quite dirty, similar to a chocolate milk type colour - this will depend on how dirty your brushes are. But some people out there may not find this step as clear, and may need a written guide. The only other point not mentioned, is cleaning methods of the bowl itself. I basically just rinsed mine with water and let it drip dry, which seemed to be fine, but again others may need clarity in this step.

I will say though, I did have to wash a few of my brushes again, purely because they were pretty dirty. But that is to be expected, and wasn't a major deal breaker. So, in conclusion, I believe this is an amazing tool. For someone who dreaded washing her makeup brushes and the tedious process that it took, it's an absolute gem and I would highly recommend this product. I'm not quite sure about prices, but it's definitely an investment any beauty enthusiast needs.

Demo.

I thought I would change this post up a bit by recording the process and showing you, rather than just telling you. I hope you all enjoy my first video. It's not the best editing or picture, but I really enjoyed putting this together for you all, and if you have any feedback or requests, please feel free to DM me. I look forward to doing some more videos in the near future :)
